A Step-By-Step Guide To The Defiant’s Referral Program

At The Defiant, we work hard to bring news and education that is centrally focused on Web3 and Decentralized Finance (DeFi).  We produce high quality, timely and timeless content across all of our channels.  

The Defiant has grown with the support and contributions of our community. We wanted to thank our loyal subscribers and YouTube viewers, our avid newsletter readers and premium members, our website visitors and our podcast listeners, our Twitter followers and discord contributors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We are very pleased to announce a new and innovative hybrid web2 and web3 Reward Program, brought to our community with care from our friends at Project Galaxy, Metafactory and Viral Loops.  

Our partners have been kind enough to help us build this innovative reward system that will support our offers today and more in the future. A referral campaign in which we will be encouraging our loyal subscribers to ‘Share The News’ with their family and friends, and receive exclusive NFTs and free merchandise.

Step 1 – Get A Referral Link

• Go to https://thedefiant.io/referral/
• Write your email address (1) and click the button “Get your referral link!” (2).

• Copy your referral link or share it using the social media buttons.

• You can always reach your referral link using your email address, the same way you did to generate it. 

Now you’ve got the link, share it with your friends, with the communities you’re part of, etc. Just spread The Defiant’s word!

Once your referees use your link, they will get a message from The Defiant asking them to verify their email. They just have to click the button “Verify your email”.

When it’s done, you will get +1 at the “Friends Joined” counter, located at the bottom of the Referral Page.

Step 2 – Claiming Your NFT

Once enough people sign to the newsletter using your referral code (5, 10, 25, 50 and 100), you will receive an email with a link to redeem your NFT. 

• Click on the “Claim your NFT” button.

You’ll be sent to Galaxy website. Using Polygon Network (1), connect your MetaMask (2).

As soon as you connect your wallet, you will be able to claim your NFT by clicking the button “Claim”.

After receiving the e-mail it may take up to 24h to the claim process be available. If you have any doubt on this part, just reach us at our Discord or Twitter.

• Confirm the operation on your MetaMask.

Wait little bit for the NFT to be minted. You can check the progress on the blockchain by clicking on “View on polyscan.com”.

This is how the transaction will look on the blockchain explorer:

• To see your NFT go to “My NFTs” tab.

If you can’t see your The Defiant’s NFT on OpenSea, check the “Hidden” tab.

Step 3 – Claiming Your Swag

On the Galaxy website, click on the small key sign on your NFT to see it’s exclusive content.

• Click on the “Exclusive content” button.

A message will prompt → attention now, the process is different for some NFTs!

The Defiant Friend And The Defiant Ambassador (Copper)

For the NFTs The Defiant Friend and The Defiant Ambassador (Copper) you will get a message with a link to the Metafactory and a code to get your swag.

• Click the link and use the code to get in the store.
• Click on the “Add to cart” button.

• On your cart page, click on the “Check out” button.

Attention! If you got more than 1 NFT you will have to do this process for each one of them separately. 

You can’t have more than 1 The Defiant’s swag on your cart at the same time. If you started the redeem process for 1 product, finish it before start another one.

On the next page, fill your contact information and your shipping address and click on “Continue to shipping”

Check if your info is correct and click on “Continue to payment”

Fill the payment info and click on the “Pay now” button

Congrats, you did it! Just sit back, grab a beer or a coffee and relax until you get your The Defiant’s gift!

You will receive an email from MetaFactory to confirm your order. If you need any assistance, just click on the “View your order” button, on that message.

The Defiant Ambassador (Jade And Crystal) And The Defiant One

For the NFTs The Defiant Ambassador (Jade and Crystal) and The Defiant One you will get a different message when you click on the “Exclusive content” button:

Different from the previous swag, you will have to fill your contact info and your shipping address, but you will not have to pay for the shipping! 

Just follow the steps on the MetaFactory website, sit back, grab a beer or a coffee and relax until you get your The Defiant’s gift!

You will receive an email from MetaFactory to confirm your order. If you need any assistance, just click on the “View your order” button, on that message.
